EMTTA Teacher Training

Etonkids Montessori Teacher Training Academy (EMTTA) prepares adults to work with children from the ages of birth [0] through 6. We offer training for two levels.

The Infant / Toddler [IT] course focuses on birth through 3 years of age.
The Early Childhood [EC] course focuses on children 2 ½ through 6 years of age.

Both courses use simultaneous translation equipment to support the understanding and participation of both Chinese and English speakers

Both courses are accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE, macte.org) and affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS, amshq.org).

EMTTA is a division of the Etonkids Educational Group, which operates International, Bilingual, and Hui Zhi, kindergartens throughout China.

EMTTA - Etonkids Montessori Teacher Training Academy

The mission of EMTTA is to prepare warm, sensitive, knowledgeable adults for the important work of helping young children develop their full potential. We achieve this goal by creating a community of creative adults who learn together with more experienced, highly qualified Montessori educators.

Our graduates are prepared to work in multi-cultural settings, and in all varieties of programs. Our graduates are open to change and are committed to the highest standards for themselves, and for children and their families. Our graduates deeply understand child development and the uniqueness of the Montessori approach to education.

Our Commitment
Our commitment is to provide future Montessori teachers and parents with a professional program of the highest standard.

We ---
  • Have developed a comprehensive set of processes that results in the continual review and evaluation of the student and the curriculum.
  • Take seriously Montessori’s vision of a science of spiritual education.
  • Share contemporary research findings in the area of child development and early education.
  • Compare and contrast Montessori pedagogical theory with other contemporary theories of instruction.
  • Provide a resource center for early childhood education programs, teachers and parents.

EMTTA combines a love for teaching with the skills, practical know-how, and professional expertise that guarantees success. Our highly experienced international faculty and scientific adult learning methods assures your preparedness to enter a nursery or kindergarten classroom as a professional Montessori educator. Through hands-on practice in a fully prepared Montessori classroom, you master both the philosophy of Montessori and its practical application. Through your internship you understand how children learn and what you can do as a teacher or parent to help a child realize both academic and personal success.
